Account Emails Are Now Import-Proof: No More Accidental Overwrites 🔒

An Account Email is a user's identity on your event — the key to their login, their history, their profile. Until now, a single stray cell in a People Excel import could quietly change it. One wrong value, one accidentally cleared field, and an existing attendee's Account Email was overwritten. That door is now closed. The People Excel import rejects any row that would change or clear the Account Email of an existing user, and tells you exactly which rows were blocked and why.

What's new

The People Excel import now validates the Account Email column against your existing users. If a row matches an existing user but carries a different Account Email — or leaves the cell empty — that row is rejected before it can touch the account. Everything else imports as usual.

Key behaviors

  • Same email, no problem: rows that match an existing user and keep their current Account Email pass straight through, exactly as before.
  • Changed email, rejected: any row attempting to set a different Account Email on an existing user is blocked and counted in the import modal's Errors.
  • Empty email, rejected: a blank Account Email cell on an existing user is blocked too — no accidental wipes.
  • Nothing else gets touched: when a row is rejected, none of that user's other fields are modified. The whole row is skipped cleanly.
  • New users unaffected: rows whose ID doesn't match an existing user flow through normally — onboarding new people works exactly as it always has.
  • Mixed files still work: in a file with both valid and invalid rows, only the offending rows are excluded. The rest are processed without interruption.

In your results CSV

Download the results and every blocked row is spelled out for you:

  • Each rejected row appears with an ERROR status.
  • The error column reads: "You cannot change the Account Email of an existing user."
  • The row and id columns pinpoint the exact source row and record, so fixing the file takes seconds.
  • Other error types keep their own distinct messages — you can tell issues apart at a glance.

Exhibitor Center & Event App: One Seamless Experience, Same Tab 🔀

For a long time, the Exhibitor Center and the Web Event App looked and behaved like two different products — different top bars, a stray home icon, and that jarring moment when switching between them launched a brand-new browser tab. Exhibitors noticed. Many didn't even realize the Exhibitor Center existed. We've unified the two into a single, coherent experience: same top bar, same navigation logic, same tab.

What's new

The Exhibitor Center top bar is now built from the exact same components and design as the Web Event App — same height, fonts, colors, and spacing. Stand them side by side and the only difference an exhibitor will spot is that the EC hides the notifications and messages icons.

How it works

The new top bar gives exhibitor members three ways to move around, all without leaving the tab they're in:

  • Event / Exhibitor Center toggle — a pill-style switch sits in the center of the bar. One click moves between the live event app and the Exhibitor Center, in the same tab, with the browser back button working exactly as expected. Only exhibitor members with EC access see it — regular attendees never do.
  • Event switcher dropdown — clicking the event name opens a dropdown of every event the member has access to, split into Upcoming / Current and Past events, each row showing the event name and date, with a checkmark on the active one. This replaces the old standalone EC event-list page entirely.
  • Switch exhibitor — members tied to more than one exhibitor company at the same event get a Switch exhibitor option in the sidebar, complete with company logos, so they can hop between booths without logging out and back in.

Key behaviors

  • Unified profile dropdown — the avatar menu in the EC now mirrors the Event App exactly: profile, Edit profile, Settings, Contact Support, Interface language, Resource center, Plan an event, Legal, and Log out. Logging out signs the member out of both surfaces at once.
  • No more orphan pages — direct access to the deprecated EC root event list now redirects to the member's most relevant event.

Why organizers will love it

Navigation and UX complexity has consistently ranked as a top exhibitor pain point — "clunky," "over-complicated," "two environments when one would do." Fragmentation between the EC and Event App was the headline complaint. By making the two feel like one application, you remove the friction that kept exhibitors from discovering and using the Exhibitor Center in the first place. The payoff: better exhibitor adoption, fewer "where do I go?" support tickets, and stronger exhibitor satisfaction and ROI — without you touching a single setting.

Promote Marketplace Extras on Your Event Website

The Marketplace Widget helps organizers promote exhibitor upgrade options directly on their external event website. By increasing the visibility of marketplace extras beyond the Exhibitor Center, organizers can create more opportunities to generate incremental marketplace revenue.

Showcase available upgrades before login

Organizers can select which marketplace extras are visible to guests. These extras are then displayed through an embeddable widget, allowing website visitors to discover available upgrade options before signing in.

Each extra appears as a card containing its image, description, price, quantity, and purchase action. When no guest-visible extras are available, the widget displays an empty-state message.

Keep purchases within the existing flow

When a visitor selects the purchase action, the Exhibitor Center opens in a new browser tab. Visitors who are not authenticated are invited to log in or sign up. After authentication, they are directed to the event’s marketplace, where they can complete their purchase through the existing platform flow.

Visitors who are already authenticated can access the marketplace directly without an additional login prompt.

Easy to add to an external website

The widget’s iframe embed code is available in the Pages and Menu section of Studio when the Exhibitor Marketplace is enabled for the event. Organizers can copy the code and paste it into their external website.

They can also configure options such as interaction actions and infinite scrolling.

Increase visibility and marketplace opportunities

By bringing exhibitor extras onto public event pages, the Marketplace Widget helps organizers promote upgrades earlier and across more touchpoints. Exhibitors can explore available options more easily, while organizers benefit from a simple way to support marketplace engagement and additional revenue.

Exhibitor Center, On Your Terms: Rename It and Control Who Gets In 🎛️

"Exhibitor Center" doesn't land with every exhibitor — and until now it stayed open to everyone, forever, whether the event was unpublished, live, or long finished. Two new controls in Studio fix both at once: rename the Exhibitor Center in every platform language, and turn access on or off for each exhibitor group.

What's new

Two organizer controls, both living in Studio:

  • Custom navigation labels — rename both the Event and Exhibitor Center sides of the navigation, per platform language.
  • Per-group Exhibitor Center Access — a toggle on any group with exhibitors that decides whether its members can get into the Exhibitor Center.

How it works

Rename the Exhibitor Center

  1. In Studio, open your branded app settings and expand the new Advanced section.
  2. In the Desktop Navigation labels block, set an Event label and an Exhibitor Center label for each language on your platform (up to 25 characters each).
  3. Save. The web navigation switch and the "Me" tab immediately reflect your naming — any field left blank falls back to the default.

Control access per group

  1. Open any group that contains at least one exhibitor.
  2. Flip the new Exhibitor Center Access toggle on or off in the group's side panel.
  3. Save. Access updates on the exhibitor's very next load — no waiting on the event to start or end.

Key behaviors & options

  • Per-language labels: name the navigation in every platform language; blank fields default to "Event" and "Exhibitor Center."
  • On by default: every group with exhibitors starts with access ON — including groups created before this release — so nothing changes until you decide it does.
  • Tier-based access: give Gold or Diamond exhibitors the Exhibitor Center while keeping other packages out.
  • Live enforcement: switch a group off mid-event and those exhibitors lose access on their next navigation; switch it back on and they're in again — instantly.
  • No broken doors: when access is off, the web switch shows the Exhibitor Center as non-clickable (with a "not accessible" hover message using your label), and the "Me" tab hides the redirect entirely.
  • Lifecycle control: keep the EC open before publish so exhibitors complete their profiles, then close it once the event is over instead of leaving it open indefinitely.

Background Upload for A4 Folded Badges

Organizers can now fully customize the look of their A4 folded badges by uploading their own badge design as a background.

Once a background template is uploaded, it is used for badge previews and all generated badge PDFs. Attendee information including QR codes, names, companies, and custom badge fields is automatically overlaid on top of the uploaded design. To provide a clean, fully branded badge, the default Swapcard branding and folding instructions are automatically removed when a custom background is uploaded.

Organizers can also choose which quadrant of the A4 folded badge they want to configure: top left, top right, bottom left, or bottom right making it easy to position attendee information where it best fits their badge design.

What's new

  • Upload a custom background for A4 folded badges.
  • Preview the uploaded background directly in Studio.
  • Choose which badge quadrant to configure (top left, top right, bottom left, or bottom right).
  • Automatically overlay attendee information on top of the uploaded design.
  • Generate branded badge PDFs using your custom background.
  • Existing badge field positioning and configuration continue to work with custom backgrounds.

Note: For the best print quality, use a high-resolution image and ensure your design is correctly oriented for an A4 sheet folded into a badge.

Arabic: Full Support in the Exhibitor Center 🌍

For Arabic-speaking exhibitor teams, the Exhibitor Center used to be a fight against the layout. Text entered right-to-left landed in a left-to-right shell, alignment drifted, and content that should have read cleanly ended up scrambled. That's fixed. The Exhibitor Center now renders Arabic properly, with full right-to-left support across the interface, so exhibitors work in their language, the way it's meant to look.

What's New

The Exhibitor Center now fully supports Arabic:

  • Right-to-left rendering — the layout flips to RTL, so text, fields, and content flow in the correct direction natively.
  • Arabic input everywhere it matters — company profile, product details, and other booth content accept Arabic without breaking alignment or direction.
  • Clean mixed-content handling — Arabic sitting alongside Latin characters, numbers, or links displays correctly instead of jumbling the order.

Export Registration Confirmation Email Engagement Data

Tracking the performance of your registration confirmation emails is now easier.

You can now export recipient-level engagement data for Registration Emails directly from Studio. Similar to other email campaigns, a new Export data option is available from the three-dot menu, allowing you to download a report with delivery and engagement metrics for every recipient.

The export includes all recipients of the selected registration confirmation email and shows whether each email was:

  • Sent
  • Opened
  • Clicked

The report is downloaded in CSV format, making it easy to analyze engagement, troubleshoot delivery issues, or share results with your team.

Ticket Preview is now available while editing tickets

You can now preview your ticket directly from the Edit Ticket side panel in Studio, making it easier to review your ticket configuration without leaving the editing experience.

What's new?

A new Ticket Preview section has been added to the ticket editing side menu. It displays how your ticket will appear based on its current saved configuration.

How it works

  • Open a ticket in Studio and edit its settings.
  • Use the Ticket Preview panel to view the current saved version of your ticket.
  • After making changes, click Save to update the preview.

Note: The preview reflects only saved changes. Any edits you make will appear in the preview only after you save the ticket.

This helps you quickly verify your ticket setup while keeping the editing workflow simple and focused.

Seamless Wayfinding with IndoorAtlas x ExpoFP Integration 📍

The IndoorAtlas integration helps you leverage permanent, venue-installed hardware to deliver precise indoor positioning for your large-scale events. If you are hosting at massive venues like Koelnmesse or Jaarbeurs, you can now bypass third-party beacon setups and activate real-time floor plan navigation using the venue's existing infrastructure. This cuts down on deployment costs while maximizing exhibitor ROI and attendee engagement. 🚀

Effortless Setup in Swapcard Studio ⚙️

Event organizers can now connect IndoorAtlas directly within the ExpoFP map configuration. No complex coding required.

  • Unified Configuration: Inside Studio, navigate to your ExpoFP map view. The side panel data section now features an Indoor Positioning option.
  • Simple Credential Management: Clicking "Enable Indoor Positioning" allows you to choose IndoorAtlas alongside existing providers. Simply input your API Key and API Secret from the IndoorAtlas MapCreator portal.
  • Flexible Control: You can edit or disable your hardware positioning configuration at any time from the same panel.

A Smooth, "Blue Dot" Navigation Experience for Attendees 🗺️

Attendees can navigate massive exhibition halls effortlessly without getting lost between booths.

  • Smart Permission Triggers: When an attendee opens the map within 24 hours of the event start, the app safely requests Location and Bluetooth permissions.
  • Real-Time Blue Dot Tracking: Once permissions are granted, a blue dot appears on the ExpoFP floor plan, updating continuously as attendees walk the show floor.
  • Intelligent Multi-Floor Management: The blue dot dynamically adapts to the attendee's actual location—only appearing on the floor they are currently standing on to prevent confusion.
  • Graceful Signal Handling: If an attendee enters a signal dead zone, the blue dot fades away cleanly without throwing app errors or disrupting the user interface.

Advanced Blue Dot Wayfinding 🎯

  • Real-Time Routing: Attendees can use their live location as the starting point (Point A) to navigate to any booth or feature (Point B).
  • Turn-by-Turn Navigation: Clicking "Directions" on a booth profile displays estimated distance, travel time, and step-by-step navigation.
  • Accessible Paths: Includes an "Avoid stairs" toggle to ensure accessible route planning across multi-floor venues.

⚠️ Note for Organizers: Blue Dot Wayfinding relies on ExpoFP's active support for live-coordinate routing. If this is not yet supported in your specific ExpoFP package, navigation will gracefully fallback to booth-to-booth routing.
