Tiny tweaks, mighty impact: Smoother OTP login flow ⚡️

Logging in just got way less annoying 🤗

We've made a few UX quick wins that may be small on paper, but feel huge in practice:

  • Autofill magic ✨: If you’re using a native email app, your one-time code now appears magically without the need to go to your mail app!
  • No more dashes: We’ve stripped the “-” from the OTP code both in emails and on the app. Because typing shouldn’t feel like solving a puzzle.
  • Instant focus: Land on the OTP page and your cursor’s already in the first box, ready to roll.

Less clicking, less thinking, more getting-stuff-done.

Stay Connected: Real-Time Newsfeed Notifications

We have some exciting news to share with you! As part of our continuous effort to improve and enhance your networking experience, we are pleased to announce that you can now receive notifications for the Newsfeed activity in all your events, including comments and reactions. This means that you will no longer have to constantly check your Newsfeed to see if anyone has engaged with your posts. Instead, you will receive real-time notifications whenever someone comments on your post or reacts to it.

We understand that staying updated on your Newsfeed activity is crucial for networking and building connections. This feature ensures you're always in the loop and can respond promptly, improving both your efficiency and experience on Swapcard. You’ll save time while staying engaged with your network seamlessly. 

Please note: This feature is currently only available on the web Event App. It is not yet available on the mobile Event App.

Enhanced Content Widgets for a Better Experience and Control

The Swapcard widgets now come in a new version that improves both performance and customization options for event organizers embedding content into their websites.

💡 What are Swapcard widgets and why use them?

Widgets allow you to showcase key event information on your own website, eliminating the need to update information in multiple places. This ensures consistency, saves time, and offers a seamless attendee experience. Widgets can be used to display your event's schedule, list of exhibitors, speakers, and attendees, keeping visitors informed and connected.

What's new:

🚀 Script-enhanced widget for smoother integration

A new version of the widget is available and includes a lightweight JavaScript script. This new setup:

  • Automatically adjusts the height of the widget, eliminating the need for inner scrollbars
  • Prevents the “double scrollbar” effect that occurs when an iframe doesn’t fit well into the page
  • Improves overall performance

🔄 Infinite scroll toggle

Organizers now have the choice to enable or disable infinite scroll:

  • Enabled: Content loads seamlessly as users scroll (ideal for standalone pages)
  • Disabled: A "Load more" button appears instead, allowing users to explore additional content at their pace — particularly useful if the widget is placed above other elements you want to keep accessible.

🧩 Still need iframe-only?

For platforms or CMSs that don’t support custom scripts, the original iframe-only version remains available and functional — just with fewer customization and SEO capabilities.

You can configure and preview your widget in the Pages & menu section of the Event Builder.

Introducing the New Unified Profile Page: A Simpler, Smarter Swapcard Experience

We’re thrilled to introduce a major improvement to your Swapcard experience! The "My Event" and "My Favorites" pages are now seamlessly integrated into your profile page, offering a more intuitive and streamlined navigation.

This update creates a single, centralized hub for managing both your personal information and event or community details. No more switching between pages; everything you need is now in one place. Whether you're updating your profile, checking your registered events, or exploring event schedules, you can now access it all from one unified location.

From your profile page, you can now:

  • View your schedule, including sessions and meetings
  • Access your saved contacts
  • Browse bookmarks for exhibitors, saved items, and videos

We’ve also revamped the look of the profile page to make it cleaner, more modern, and easier to navigate. This fresh design ensures a visually appealing and user-friendly experience as you manage your event activities and personal details.

These features will dynamically adapt to your current event or community context, ensuring a personalized and relevant experience every time.

As part of this improvement, it will no longer be possible to create new "My Event" or "My Community" pages for future events once this update is released. To avoid redundancy within your event app, we strongly encourage organizers who have already created a "My Event" or "My Community" page to remove it. That said, existing pages will remain accessible until the end of 2025, after which they will be fully deprecated.

Our goal is to make your experience on Swapcard as efficient and user-friendly as possible. By combining the "My Event" and "My Favorites" pages with your profile, we’ve simplified workflows and reduced unnecessary clicks. This means you’ll spend less time navigating and more time engaging with what matters most: connecting with people, exploring sessions, bookmarks, and getting the most out of your events.

We’re continuously listening to your feedback to improve the platform. This revamp is just one of many enhancements we’re rolling out to make Swapcard the ultimate event experience.

Sync Your Event Agenda With Google Calendar for Seamless Scheduling

We are happy to introduce a new feature that allows you to synchronize your event calendar with Google Calendar. This feature ensures you never miss a session or meeting by seamlessly integrating your schedule with Google Calendar.

Key Benefits

  1. Automatic Sync: Automatically sync all your registered sessions and confirmed meetings with Google Calendar from the "Settings", but also from "My Schedule" and "My Meetings" tabs on the "My Event" page.
  2. Real-Time Updates: Any changes or updates to your sessions or meetings will be reflected in Google Calendar in real-time.
  3. Enhanced Availability: Check your availability quickly and easily, ensuring you can plan and manage your time more efficiently.

This new synchronization feature ensures you stay organized and never miss an important session or meeting. Start syncing today and enjoy seamless integration with Google Calendar!


PS: You need to use the Web Event App to connect Google Calendar with your Swapcard account, then all sessions and meetings will be synced.

Introducing the side menu navigation on mobile

Effortless Access to Event Pages

When users visit the main page of an event—whether it's Home, Notifications, Messages, or Me—the navigation menu is always at their fingertips via the burger menu icon.

With a single tap, the menu slides out from the left, offering a clear and organized display of pages and group pages associated with the selected event.

Users can interact with the menu in multiple ways:

  • Page Navigation: Clicking on any specific page takes the user directly to the content they need, with the menu closing automatically to maximize screen space.
  • Group Page Management: Group pages are expandable and collapsible. When expanded, users can see all nested pages; when collapsed, the display is streamlined for simplicity.

Custom Transactional Email Image Header for Branded Apps

We have a new improvement to our product that will enhance your branding and customization options even further. As a company, we always strive to provide the best experience for our users, and we believe this new feature will do just that.

Introducing Custom Transactional Email Image Header for Branded Apps.

This new feature adds your personalized image header to all transactional also called automated emails sent through your branded app. This means that every time a user receives an email from your app, they will see your unique branding and image, creating a more cohesive and professional look.

Not only does this feature give you more control over your app's branding, but it also improves the user experience. By seeing your branding consistently across all communications, users will feel more connected to your brand and trust your app even more.

You can easily upload your image through the "Branding" tab under "Applications" on Studio and see the changes reflected immediately in all transactional emails.

X (Twitter) widget back on Swapcard Mobile App

We are excited to share that Twitter now "X" widget is back on Swapcard. 

This feature allows organizers to define in Studio their X event hashtag. Then, event participants can read directly from Swapcard App all the posts that has been made on “X” using this specific hashtag.

We have improved the feature for better performance and updated the widget name to "X". This feature is a must-have for your event participants' engagement.

New Custom Field format: "File"

We are thrilled to announce the release of an exciting update to our previous Custom Field format "Picture", now named "File". Our latest upgrade significantly expands the types of files you can upload, making it easier than ever to integrate and manage your content directly within our platform.


Expanded File Support

In addition to previously supported formats, users can now upload documents and presentations alongside images, which include:

  • PDF (.pdf)
  • Word Documents (.doc, .docx)
  • PowerPoint Presentations (.ppt, .pptx)
  • Images (.png, .jpg)

The new custom field is now available for use in several key areas within our platform, enhancing both the flexibility and functionality of your experience:

  • User Profiles: Personalize user profiles with more comprehensive media files.
  • Detail Views: Enhance detail views such as People, Session, and Exhibitor details with relevant documents and images.
  • Registration Forms: Improve registration forms by including essential files that can be directly uploaded by users.
